What does it mean when the HOLLIS record says a book is "on order" or "ordered-received"?

An order has been placed for a book but it is either not here yet or has not been cataloged. The HOLLIS record will often have a "Request Pick Up" link you can use to insure that you are notified when the book is available. Failing that, you may have to contact the holding library directly. If you're not sure what library that is or how to do that, place a request with Ask a Librarian and we'll help figure out how it should be routed.

Service Alert:
  • Ask a Librarian, including chat and email, will be suspended from 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 22, through Monday, January 2, for the holiday break. Any questions received during this period will be answered beginning Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
