Can I check out books for the whole summer? I'm an undergraduate.

The library does not offer extended student loans for the summer, but even if it did, the items would still be subject to recall if the book needed to be put on Reserve for a summer course.  Consequently, you are free to check out books before you leave and renew them online up to 5 times.  However, if the book is recalled, you will have to mail it back to the library to avoid fines.

We realize that this can be inconvenient, but it's the only way we can ensure timely access to library materials for everybody.
