What Harvard research deals with human emotion re 9/11 affecting earth's electromagnetic field?

Claims are being made that a Harvard researcher proved that the world-wide community shock of horror re 9/11 affected the earth's electromagnetic field. Who is this researcher and what is the article and research?

The idea that human emotion or consciousness can affect the physical world, including the earth's magnetic field, is promoted by a number of people. Research in this area is not, as far as we know, connected directly with Harvard, but it is certainly true that some Harvard affiliates have been engaged in it. Some of the associated ideas were popularized as a result of their inclusion in the Dan Brown novel, The Lost Symbol, and since the fictional protagonist of the book, Robert Langdon, is a "Harvard Symbologist" the ideas may be attached to the University in that way. There are several web sites which promote different theories and address the evidence of 9/11. A couple of the more well known ones are The Institute of Noetic Sciences and the Global Consciousness Project.
