What does “Offsite Storage” mean in HOLLIS? How do I get access to that?

“Offsite” indicates that the item’s location is one of Harvard Library’s offsite storage facilities. Use the “request” options in HOLLIS to have the item delivered to campus for you.

Offsite items whose status is listed as “in library or storage” typically arrive within 1 business day. If you selected “request pick up,” you will receive an email once the item is available for you. Do not expect email notification for “request to copy or visit.”

Note: offsite locations are staff-only and indicated by “offsite” in the location name for the item. Otherwise, you can assume the item is held at one of our on-site locations.
