Is Crimson Cash being discontinued?

When is the cutoff date? Where do I get a refund? What are my alternatives for printing and photocopies? 

The libraries have used Crimson Cash primarily for printing and photocopying, and we'll be transitioning to a new payment method this summer. Harvard has been retiring Crimson Cash over the last year. 

The last day to use your Crimson Cash in Harvard Library is June 30, 2025. New print and copy instructions will appear in these FAQs as information becomes available. If you are in the library, check with a Circulation desk for assistance with our print and copy options.

According to the site:

  • Harvard ID holders can apply for refunds through June 30, 2026. 
  • Crimson Cash's "white cards," cards that hold funds in lieu of an ID, cannot be refunded. 
  • Students can use Crimson Cash for GrubHub through August 25, 2025 
  • contact Crimson Cash with Crimson Cash questions not answered on the site.

Service Alert:
