Does Harvard subscribe to the digital editions of popular newspapers and magazines?
We have online access to the content of thousands of papers, but we only have special digital access (mimicking a basic, individual news subscription) for just a few. You can use your Harvard email to register for these:
Our online access to the content of other popular newspapers comes through vendor databases. Most newspapers and magazines do not make their popular digital editions available to institutions like Harvard. We know that the digital edition often includes content not otherwise available, so we hope these subscription models will evolve to include us.
We have online access to print edition content and some web content for thousands of publications through databases that provide institutional licenses. For instance, we have the Boston Globe through various databases as indicated in our HOLLIS catalog This is not the same interface as you get by subscribing to bostonglobe.com, but it does include the contents of the Boston Globe, minus web exclusives, for years indicated in HOLLIS.
