I'm a visiting Scholar. Can I request items to be delivered to the Widener Reading Room in advance online?

A valid Harvard ID is required to request items remotely. If you do not have a current valid ID, please consult with the Library Access and Borrowing Office prior to filling out the Widener Reading Room Request form.  Please note that you may only request materials from Widener Library and the Widener Harvard Depository (Offsite Storage) using the form.

Service Alert:
  • Ask a Librarian, including chat and email, will be suspended from Saturday, May 26 through Monday May 28, in observance of Memorial Day. Questions received during this period will be answered beginning Tuesday, May 28, 2023.
  • If you're experiencing an ongoing technical issue when you attempt to access library materials with your HarvardKey during these times, please report it to Library Technology Services.
