May I see books and manuscripts in the Keats Collection?

Due to fragility, access to Keats' original manuscripts and letters is restricted, but you can view digital reproductions through this guide

If your research requires access to the original material, permission must be approved in advance by the Curator of Modern Books and Manuscripts of Houghton Library. You should place the request using HOLLIS Special Request, and include the specific reason you need to consult the originals.

If you would like to use the parts of the collection that have not been digitized, such as manuscripts related to Keats' circle, we welcome you to visit our Reading Room. You can find out how to register for a HOLLIS Special Request Account and arrange a visit on the Houghton Library web page

If you wish to see one of Keats' manuscripts in an exhibition case, Houghton Library's Keats Room is included in the free library tour offered every week that is open to the public.
