Due to fragility, access to Keats' original manuscripts and letters is restricted, but you can view digital reproductions through this guide.
If your research requires access to the original material, permission must be approved in advance by the Curator of Modern Books and Manuscripts of Houghton Library. You should place the request using HOLLIS Special Request, and include the specific reason you need to consult the originals.
If you would like to use the parts of the collection that have not been digitized, such as manuscripts related to Keats' circle, you can do so at the Archives and Special Collections Reading Room, located in Houghton Library. Please note that an appointment is required to guarantee a seat and that all requests for material must be placed at least three business days in advance.
If you wish to see one of Keats' manuscripts in an exhibition case, Houghton Library's Keats Room is included in the free library tour offered every week that is open to the public.
