Printing in FAS Libraries: Instructions for Special Borrowers and Library Access Card Holders (Alumni, Visiting Researchers, Public Community Members)

Follow these instructions to print in the FAS Libraries as a Special Borrower or Library Access Card holder (Visiting Researchers, Alumni, Public Community Members). Harvard faculty, staff and students, see the link below.

  • Have or get a Crimson Cash card from the Library Circulation Desk
  • Confirm/Add money to your Crimson Cash account
  • Log onto a designated Guest Computer using the username and password located on the computer signage at the base of the monitor.
  • Select CrimsonPrint as your printer (from the print menu) when you initiate the print job on the computer. 
  • Log in when prompted by using the eight-digit number on the Crimson Cash Card.
    • Enter the username and password in the following format (disregard any hyphens in the numbers)
      • Username: CC-12345678
      • Password: 12345678
  • Release your print job:
    • Identify a public printer in the library and swipe your Crimson Cash card.  
    • Click print release, select your jobs and click Print.
    • Click the log out button when complete.

B&W (grayscale) printing costs:
1 sided 5 cents
2 sided 6 cents
Color printing costs: 
1 sided 15 cents
2 sided 16 cents

Select computer and printer locations in FAS libraries:

  • Widener: desktops in Atkins and the Circulation room print to any Widener public printer in the Circulation room, Room 180 or the Atkins Reference Room on the second floor. 
  • Lamont: desktops in the Cafe and on Lamont Level B print to any Lamont public printer on the first floor near the main stairwell or on Level B. 
  • Cabot: desktops in the library print to the library printers station on the first floor.
